Music education livecd
From Arnout Engelen
Might be nice to have a linux-based music education livecd that makes various music tools easily available.
It should leave 'room to grow', it would be nice if it were possible to turn the livecd into a full-blown installation of some distro - something based on UbuntuStudio, 64Studio or AVLinux comes to mind.
Options as starting points:
- Ubuntu LiveCD https://help.ubuntu.com/community/LiveCD#Making%20a%20Customised%20LiveCD
- Debian LiveCD http://wiki.debian.org/DebianLive/
- AVLinux http://www.bandshed.net/AVLinux.html
- Remastersys http://www.geekconnection.org/remastersys/
Software to include:
- a softsynth (qsynth/timidity) with soundfont (fluid?)
- solfege
- fmit
- jack?
- jack-rack etc
- biab-like software, e.g. gmorgan
- ...?
